Priyanka swears by this home-made turmeric mask, that has been handed down from one generation to the next. It brightens your skin without staining it bright yellow.
Mix together: 4 Tbsp plain yoghurt, 2 tsp chickpea flour or oatmeal, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 drop of sandalwood essential oil and 1 tsp honey. Apply it to your face and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash off and Voilà! Glowing skin! Thanks Priyanka for sharing one of your beauty secrets with us!
2. Sleeping Beauty Turmeric Latte!
The perfect bedtime drink! Include this soul-warming Turmeric latte to your bedtime routine, not only will it help you sleep better but it is pure goodness for your body!
Bring to a boil 1 cup of milk, 1 tsp Turmeric powder, 1 tsp honey, 1 Tbsp grated ginger or use 1/2 tsp ginger powder and a tiny sprinkle of black pepper. Allow to boil for 2 minutes and strain it into a mug. If you are lactose intolerant, use almond or rice milk and to keep the calories at bay, use fat-free milk. Sip and enjoy!
3. Get rid of the Bloat!
Feeling a bit bloated? Worst of all, going to an event and need to fit into your dress? Here is a quick fix: Drink a glass of water with 1 tsp turmeric powder…..I know…..not the best tasting but hey it works!
4. Morning Power Shot!
Need a boost in the morning? Add 1 tsp Turmeric powder to a glass of water (hot or cold), squeeze half a lemon into it and you are all set for the rest of the day. Not only does it give you an energy boost but it’s also a bit of a detox at the same time!
